Cooking stone. According to Richard F. Ambro, "One quadrant of a tabular, possibly ground, cobble of crystalline stone (possibly granite); burned; encrusted on one face and adjacent edges with a black tar-like substance; opposing face with a lighter colored substance in which grass fragments are embedded.
