- 4 X 5 " Negative. Hoefler's original description: "Island of Ceylon. Because of the varied climates on the Island of Ceylon it possesses a variety of vegetation unknown any place else in the world. The soil is very responsive to cultivation and extensive plantations are devoted to crops of high economic value, such as tea, rubber, cacao, bananas and so on. Photograph shows Paul Hoefler in a banana grove.
