- This is a two sided block carved with sacred symbols. It is used for printing these symbols on paper or cloth.On the first side are the "eight auspicious symbols" (bkra shis rtags brgyad). Left to right they are:1. wheel of Dharma ('khor lo)2. symbol of victory (rgal mtshan)3. glorious knot (dpal be'u)4. right-turning conch (dung gyas 'khyil)5. lotus (padma)6. treasure vase (gter chen po'i bum pa)7. gold fish (gser nya)8. parasol (gdugs)On the other side are the "eight auspicious substances". Left to right they are:1. mustard seeds2. yogurt3. right turning conch4. bilva fruit5. durva grass6. cinnabar7. ghiwang medicine8. mirror
