Double binding of turquoise and rose with gold embroidery. 12 1/4” X 16 3/4”. Good condition but Verso unfinished. Made c. 1920 by Mrs. Stewart as a California schoolgirl.

: Hearst Museum object titled Cover, museum number 2-62965, described as Square of white basket weave cotton. Embroidered in white with satin stitch and drawnwork, outside edges button hole stitched. Central plain diamond surrounded by corner areas embroidered in all over pattern: rectangles of drawnwork alternating with embroidered crosses and squares. Good condition. Lace mended. c. 1890-1900 by same woman as 3951
