: Hearst Museum object titled Apron, museum number 9-15570, described as Apron shaped garment; silk; sewn, applique, couched, pattern weave; dull gold ground with soft multi colors; pieces and lined garment of dull gold pattern weave, decorated with flower motifs in soft multi colors of applique and/or couched embroidery. Basic rectangular shape has two faced strips attached at one side. Faced loop attached to center of these strips. 23 1/2 in. wide, 16 in. long, 36 in. inside strip.

Brocade shoulder strap. Woven piece folded in half and sewn at sides to make bag. Inventory check: Purchased new in or near Mexico City c. 1950-1955. Worn and stained.
