Hearst Museum object titled Mug, accession number 9-23904, described as Enamel mug. The front is stenciled with an oval image of a train running on a bridge through a mountainous region. The reverse features a red inscription, stating that the mug was made by the Newly Established Central Construction Bureau of the Railway Administration, No. 6 Construction Bureau, in commemoration of the opening of the Baoji-Chengdu route. Cobalt blue bowstring decorates the rim. The handle is partially decorated in black.

A white panel in reserve is inscribed with “Serve the people” (为人民服务Wei renmin fuwu), followed by Mao’s signature. Framing the text panel are pine branches. Cobalt blue decorates the rim.
