Two weft-faced light yellow stripes with tiny green checks, two narrow yellow-green check stripes with white motifs in between at other end; 1.5cm area of unwoven warp followed by woven section at both wrapdown

Length: 540cm, Width: 114cm. Context: Worn wrapped around the waist and over one shoulder; this one would be for special occasions. Made by men, mostly Muslims. Brocaded saris like this one are known as Benarsi (i.e. "on the loom") embroidered.

Indian sari still sied and couled for final dying in Kelly Green. 69 inches undone so the final multicolor, bias, plaid can be seen on sheer cotton. 78 inches long, including 9 inch diameter coil.
