: Hearst Museum object titled Parka, accession number 2-6690, described as Parka with calf-length straight-cut hem, bird skin with feathers, no hood. Sleeves and hem decorated with geometric patterns and bands of clipped skin, dyed gut, tanned hide (dyed red). Sealskin trimming on cuffs and hem. Collar trimmed with fur (species ?). Very wide, long, roomy cut. Cotton and sinew thread.

Straight cut hip-length hem without side-slits. Hood of "three-piece" construction with center panel of reindeer head skin, short hood-roots. Hood facing of wolf skin and caribou. Wolverine tassels on hood-point. Checked caribou hem decorations. Wolverine cuffs. Part of outfit that includes 2-13832 through 2-13834.

Hood in "three-piece" pattern with two hood-roots of white caribou skin. Wolfskin hood facing , with two red braided hood ties. Sleeves and hem decorated with elaborate geometric borders, edged with fleece and wolverine.

Hood of "3-piece" construction with white hood-roots. Hood facings of caribou and wolverine. Sleeve-cuffs of caribou. Shoulder fringes of tanned depilated hade; bottom hem strip of the same. Excellent winter parka specimen. Trimmed with smoked moose traded from Athabaskans (fide Elizabeth Goodwin, Al. Eskimo, July 1978).
