Image Missing: Hearst Museum object titled Yarn painting, accession number 3-31595, described as HUICHOL YARN PAINTING: Bordered with a triple border of black, hot pink and white, with a ground of purple and black, this painting features a 4 pointed star at center (orange, pink, white, yellow, purple, turquoise, edged with single threads of white and pink), and 2 serpents arched around the star from the left and right. Serpents are white, pink, turquoise, orange yellow and with red tongues and eyes. 9 to 12 orange protuberances curls away from the back of each serpent. Each is edged with single threads of white and pink. To the right and left of the serpents are green stems with leaves and topped with a pink bud. Each green leaf has a red oval at center and the entire structure is edged with single threads of white and pink. Inscribed on the verso is a description in Spanish. Artist is Cresencio Perez Robles. rice tag affixed to base reads: “Banfoco, C-4, EASP, $120.00, Made in Mexico”
