Red dye is Chain fern (Woodwardia spinulosa) in Alder (Alnus rubra). Large openwork rumitesk basket with coiled border and band of close weaving near border.

Foundation and sewing strands of red cedar bark, imbrication in Xerophyllum tenax and wild cherry bark (partly dyed black). Poor condition. Note: appears to be unifinished.

Deep, ovoid, imbricated in Xerophyllum tenax leaves and wild cherry bark, coiled. Design of pendant squares in straw-colored material with V design in brown through the blocks. One large section poorly glued in place.

A mush boiler in shape and size, but purchased new and never used.
