Hearst Museum object titled Sculpture, accession number 3-30766, described as SCULPTURE GROUP: Ceramic figure featuring a pink “mountain” from which a yellow and orange animal and a blue and yellow snake are emerging through a large hole. Behind the “mountain,” a green animal, which appears to be part of the mountain itself, stands upright with raised head, open mouth, goggled eyes and raised arms. From a hole in its lower back emerges a small orange animal with blue spots. The “mountain” is embellished with what seem to be leaves or stylized trees. Pink leaves/trees are tipped with green. The sculpture stands on an oval base which is painted yellow ochre, then splattered with red. The entire figure has splatters of white, green, red and tan throughout. A commercial paper tag glued to the base reads, “Fred & Barbara Meiers; __________ Imported from Mexico” and “JP” is written in pencil in the center.
