Hearst Museum object titled Paddle, accession number 11-45532, described as Carved wooden paddle or oar.  Blade is decorated on both sides with wood burned triangles in each corner and 6 wood burned dots.  A burned band & carved indentation differentiates the blade from the handle.   The edges of the blade are also wood burned adjacent to the triangles and decorated with a single dot near the base of the blade.  The end of the handle is decorated with a recessed carved band and a rounded base.
