Hearst Museum object titled Embroidery sample, accession number 9-22868, described as Fabric panel with embroidery of birds in abstract circular formation - multicolored on black fabric face and royal blue verso backing. Embroidery on face has four pairs of birds in a circular pattern around a center circle containing a flower. Embroidery threads are bronze, gold, cream, black, purple, brown, orange and teal.
Hearst Museum object titled Embroidery sample, accession number 9-22867, described as Fabric sample with machine embroidered dragon design in cream and light blue on reflective black satin panel. Verso has a matte finish and center area that contains a panel, 7.75" x 5.5" of pieced and glued multicolored plaid backing to support the embroidery. There are three Chinese characters on top center of the verso plaid panel.
