: Hearst Museum object titled Tapestry, museum number 7-6878a,b, described as Tapestry strips. Prob. silk, wool, linen yarns, burlap. Tapestry weave, sewing. Multicolor w. blue & brown border. Two borders from large tapestry, ends folded under, burlap lining. Each contains floral, fruit, leaf & 1 human fig. holding a stalk of narcissus. Fig. was cut off at hips. rejoined to feet at mid-calf. Neatly woven. A- blue border (1¼ inch) right side; brown (¾ inch) left side. B - blue border (1¼ inch) left side; brown edge a part of orig. tapestry of irregular width on right side. Fair condition. January 1969 condit. good. Each: 20½ inches by 83½ inches long.

Black rods, grey tassels, navy, blue, rose, greys and gold. Pair of K'o-ssu panels w. navy binding, gold brocade rectangle at top, black top and bottom rods (bottom rod glass or metal for weight). All corners of each panel dec. w. pair of grey tassels. a & B: 6 figures on a gold ground w. rocks in blue, rose, and greys. Bordered on all sides by navy strip of gold floral scroll design. a: has 3 large leaves at bottom. b: has 3 potted plants at bottom. Excellent condition. 11⅛ inches by 42½ inches.

Possibly a theater hanging. 38 in. wide, 3 yards 31 in. long, 9 in. fringe at bottom.
