Hearst Museum object titled Shield, accession number 11-45524, described as Leaf shaped metal shield, painted w/ 6 bands of alternating triangles: orange/white, green/red, green/white, red/green, red/white, red green.  A handle on the back if of heavy gauge wire, wrapped with fabric and affixed from back to front with wire cleats.  Metal is folded toward back ¼ inch all around the edge.  Shield is formed from two pieces of metal riveted together (possibly an oil drum).  1957.
