The inro (a) is a tiny, square wood case of two pieces. Simple decoration of branch in sprinkled gold lacquer, w/ inlaid mother-of-pearl 'blossom' on one side, and two blossoms on the other side. Red lacquer signature at one end. Light coat of lacquer on interior. Hidden cord guides. Thin braided grey cord. Netsuke (b) carved of ivory representing a lean dog, front paws upon a human skull. Dark inlaid eyes. Hole thru middle; ie prob. is an ojime, not netsuke. Ojime (c) a red coral (?) bead. L. (a) 4cm.; (b) 2.5 cm.; (c) Dia. 1.4 cm.
