Hearst Museum object titled Basket, accession number 5-17042, described as Round basket with wide wooden (bamboo) rim and bamboo stabilizing bands (2 inside, one outside) overlapping and/or below the rim..  Basket is herringbone weave.   4.5cm rim is attached to the basket with woven raffia segments 3.0 to 4.3 cm wide, separated by blank spaces 2.0 to 3.5cm wide.  Where the rim overlaps a woven, saw tooth band 11.5cm long joins the ends.  1972.

Each basket has slightly smaller guage of split bamboo and slightly larger circumference to accommodate nesting.
