Image Missing: Hearst Museum object titled Blouse, accession number 9-22740, described as black cotton "huipil" style blouse decorated with red, yellow, white and blue woven bands and embroidery in rosettes filling lower half of blouse. rosettes are red and yellow with seed accents. seeds are attached in groupings of 2, 5 and in zig-zags. along sides, center front and center back a red band and decorative groups of seeds decorate the edges of the sleve openings; center seams and side seams. fringes are attached at each side of the embroidered lower segment of the blouse. Donor collected while visiting the village where object was made. gift from her hostess.
