Coiled; wide-mouthed with sloping sides. Described as very old and much worn when first collected. Decoration: diagonal zigzag design in brown.
Hearst Museum object titled Bowl basket, accession number 1-10261, described as Bowl basket; coiled. Warp is Willow (Salix) and Epicampes (Sporobolus rigens), weft is Redbud (Cercis occidentalis). Red pattern is Redbud. Flat, with two thin, parallel, horizontal red bands encircling the basket by way of design, made with redbud. Single rod coiled with interlocking stitches.

Open diagonal twined. Entirely covered on exterior face with soaproot juice (Chlorogalum pomeridianum), rendering basket seed-tight. Reinforcing hoop at rim. Two horizontal bands of black stitches as decoration. Made of peeled and split shoots.

Hood of Deer brush (Ceanothus integerrimus) twined with yellow and red cloth. Open diagonal twined; with headpiece ornamented with red cloth and yarn. Described as "new" when collected. Decoration: red diamond design on headpiece.

Pattern is Brake fern (Pteris quilina). Open diagonal twined with "strawberry weave" (one plain strand and one dark strand) achieving decorative banding effect. Decoration: four horizontal bands of black twining.
