Composed of leather interior thong, wrapped with narrow leather cording, formed into an open circle and terminated by a loop on one end and a knob on the other; a toggle of leather forms the closure.

Central case is larger than those on either side (4x4cm), 2 smaller amulet cases (3x3cm).  Each case is decorated with cut-out designs formed by triangles.  Central amulet has silver foil insets in each triangle.  Back of each amulet case is tooled with parallel lines.
Hearst Museum object titled Neck worn amulet, accession number 5-16898, described as Leather neck worn amulet.  Would hav been strung on a cord, through a casing which is sewn wiht a leather thong.  Probably contained a paper mandala.
