Wide striped background, with overlying design of roses and snowflakes. Border of birds and trees. Two corner squares with “Lewisvil 1848” woven in. Composed of two strips sewn together along center. Made in Kentucky by the donor’s great, great grandmother, who raised sheep, spun her own wool, and wove this coverlet.
