Hearst Museum object titled Seed beater, accession number 1-12016, described as Old. Per Ralph Shanks and Christa Ogier. Tag says "Yuki". Seed beater basket, plain-twined, used with some residue on both handle and bowl. Looks traditional, probably not made for sale. Basket has a cross-warp starting knot. The handle and bowl are made of peeled and unpeeled redbud shoots. Rim is open-wrapped with some warps extending beyond the rim of the bowl. Handle is attached to the bowl by extending some of the warps into the center of the bowl and then bending them back into the handle. Some of the handle warps have been integrated into the bowl. Slant of weft twist is up and to the right with an exterior work face, work direction is uncertain. The handle is wrapped with redbud. There are no observed hairs and the attribution is a Yuki seed beater. There is no design apparent.

Hearst Museum object titled Sifting tray, accession number 1-12015, described as Small hemispherical coiled basket. Tag "Yuki". Per Ralph Shanks: Coiled flaring basket bowl, probably used for sifting. The basket has food debris inside it. The start is twined. The basket has a 3 rod coil foundation with a splint as well. The wefts are redbud, peeled and unpeeled. The design is a series of single coil wide horizontal bands with breaks, as well as random rectangles. The rim is plain wrapped and the rim coil ending is missing, it was cut off. The weft fag ends are clipped and concealed. The moving ends are concealed. About half of the stitches are split on the back face. The basket has an exterior workface, the work direction is to the right, and the slant of weft twist is primarily down to the right.
