The name does not altogether fit the bust, which personifies a southern sea of vineclad shores. From a marble found near Pozzuoli, Italy. Vatican Museum. Sold to Clement XIV by Gavin Familton. Compare Friederichs-Wolters 1544. The horns resemble those of river gods.

: Hearst Museum object titled Terminal bust (reproduction), accession number 21-37, described as Cast of terminal bust of “Aspasia.” It is the portrait of a Greek matron. IV Century BC type. Vatican Museum. There mated with the foregoing Perikles, and named Aspasia with no valid reason.
