Hearst Museum object titled Knife and sheath, accession number 18-1536a,b, described as (a) Knife, long; iron (folded-forged) blade. Length 49 cm. Spiral designs engraved on wooden handle. Length 19 cm. (b) Wooden scabbard for long knife covered with a spiraling bamboo strip with bone disc-shaped medallion attached with rope. Length 52 cm. In former time the long knife was used by noble man for war. Presently the knife is used by war dancers in the funeral “ceremony of the noble people.”
