Collector: Jean Colvin. Donor: Jean Colvin. Materials, techniques: Made from branch with desired shape from Gayer tree near rivers. Context of use: For pushing/pulling thorn tree branches. V shape for pushing, hook end for pulling. Used and made by men when making thorn tree fences. Description: Implement- wood; long handle; hook at one end, "v" shape branch at other end. L=138 cm. At birth of new camel HURHUD is placed on newly born infant for protection from death. Also given to wives by husband to aid in conception, and made by warriors for cattle. Description: Bag- sisal- woven- patterned with brown and beige. Edged with leather strip. Leather handle- trapezoidal shape. L=50 cm. W=26 cm. Located in barrel. Dark brown natural fiber. 2 cm. wide/1.6 m.
