Hearst Museum object titled Dish, accession number 9-12626, described as Bowl, porcelaneous; short globular bowl with turned out rim, short narrow foot.  Heavy, thick white glaze with large dark crackles.  Dark brown rim.  Crawl marks on one side near rim.  Mottled brown areas on exterior.  Two modeled ring-loop ornaments attached to opposite sides, glazed brown.  Crude incised kiln mark on foot reading “Made in the reign of Cheng Hua” (Ming Dynasty).
Hearst Museum object titled Platter, accession number 9-12299, described as platter, ceramic.  rectangular shape w/ slightly curved sides and fluted corner.  slab built, and sides scraped.  base recessed, however is warped and rests on the center bottom instead of foot. yellow crackled glaze over entirety.  stilt marks on bottom.  brown spots in glaze.  H. 6 cm., L. 32 cm.
