Materials, techniques: Stick from Mangula tree to which bee's wax is stuck with small strip of cloth Context of use: "Dolls"- made by women for young girls- wax part represents hair (also used for "breast" cloth is doll's clothing, and top strip of cloth or net is hair covering. Description: (female) Doll; stick with pieces of pink, white maroon and mustard colored cloth wrapped at one end and piece of wax wth blue hair net attached to other end. Two other wax pieces below (breasts) H. 14 cm. W. 3.5 cm.

Wearing a 2-piece tan cloth outfit which is wrapped around the waist and tied with a string. Height 16.7 centimeters.

Dressed in blue satin trousers, blue and gold over tunic, navy underskirt. Yellow taffeta head dress with jeweled pin. Earrings around ear; nose plug. Height 30.5 centimeters. Costume made in Zanzibar, but where the doll was made is unknown.
