Hearst Museum object titled Plaster cast, accession number 21-53, described as Cast of small copy of the gold and ivory Athena Parthenos made for the Parthenon by Pheidias. Location: Near Barbakeion College, Athens. National Museum, Athens.

Missing: most of the left legs, the right arm, and a one separately made and cemented slice of the left humerus with its wrap. A work, according to Kabbadias 256, of Alexandrian period. Found in the excavation of the theatre at Sikyon, Greece, in 1888. A naked youth with a chlamys hanging folded from his left shoulder. He has his left hand set against his waist, and his head turned leftward, face up, like a person in ecstasy. Faulty sculpture. Forehead and skull too high. Location: From a marble found by Professor M. L. D’Ooge of Michigan University when Director of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens. National Museum, at Athens.
Hearst Museum object titled Plaster cast, accession number 21-70, described as Plaster cast of black portrait statue of Gudea, headless. Also Goudea, Patesi of Sirpurlam Chaldaea standing with inscriptions in Chaldaean characters on A Patesi was a feudal lord, subject to the king of Babylon. The word may be rendered duke. From an original of black stone found Louvre National Museum, Paris.
Image Missing: Hearst Museum object titled Plaster cast, accession number 21-64, described as Cast of torso of a naked youth, found by Philios in his excavation of Eleusis for the Greek Archaeological Society in 1887, Pentelic marble. Missing: both arms, left leg whole, right leg from the knee. Height 1.05 meters. Proportions a little under life-size. Kabbadias says in [greek lettering] 254: “Independently considered this work is a noteworthy sculpture and was certainly produced in a good Hellenic period under the influence of the Attic IV Century art.” A remnant of marble on the head is supposed to have been a brace that united the right hand and the wreath it is supposed to have held, with the statue’s head. Ephemeris Archaeology 1900, plate 11. The marble is a replica of the Young Athletic victor placing a wreath on his head (Furtwaengler) or advancing with a spear (telo incedens)--Mahler’s conception--of which statue by Polykleitos we have copies in the Westmacott Athelete of the British Museum and in a Barracco marble in Rome. Helbig identified it with the portrait of Kyniskos at Olympia, of which the pedestal is extant. Location: Eleusis. National Museum, Athens.
