Body is straw colored with 12 designs made of four squares in cross configuration going around basket in zig-zag pattern. Rim also done in brown. Brown is split devil's claw pod, body is split willow shoot, coiling bundle is split cattail root.  Cattail:  Typha latifolia.  Willow:  Salix gooddingii.  Devil's claw:  Martynia.
