For use by men when traveling beyond the village. In it are usually carried rive and tobacco, a spare waist cloth, a sleeping mat, sometimes a palm leaf rain mat, a roll of dried banana leaves for making cigarettes, and perhaps a cap for wearing in the house. The Punan women make them and trade them to several neighboring tribes who greatly prize them. Length 58 cm. Bag length 30 cm. Bag width 23 cm.

Pattern near rim consists of two green sequins followed by three gold sequins, near the base is a one green two gold sequin pattern. Design is on a blue, red, and beige material. This kapipe are produce in Sereale Village. Kapipe are used to provision field workers with midday meals. Field videos taken in Indonesia by Eric Crystal show the use of kapipe in the provisioning of field workers (constructing funerary structures). Field videos also show the fabrication of the kapipe by villagers. Kapipe are constructed by tuyu reeds.
