White pattern is Beargrass (Xerophyllum tenax). Grimy from smoke, worn. Large breaks in bottom. Widest at bottom. Mostly plain twined; large, loose weave on bottom, sides tightly woven. White overlay, vertically zigzagging bands of the "foot" motif. Native rope looped through an openwork row below rim. Cordage binds on hoops inside rim. Warp ends braided together.  Scaffoldings inside.
