Hearst Museum object titled Bonnet, accession number 2-63496, described as Child’s bonnet. Materials: silk faille Techniques: sewn Colors: creamy white Dimensions: 4 1/8” crown to nape; 11 1/8 across nape Remarks: [?] in concentric circles forms crown. Brim is trimmed with white silk taffeta ribbon punctuated with gathered areas and larger gathered rosettes at either end. Below ribbon is Irish lace. At edge are several layers of sheer silk hemmed with gathers. Inner lining has hemmed split upback is of white silk. Also trimming brim are clusters of velveteen rosbudo with clothleques. Papered stems wrapped in wire. Nape is trimmed in matching silk faille piping.

A side has rosette with three buds of pink with dark center. Inner trim trimmed in hexagonal mesh net inner bonnet lining is of sheer open plain weave cotton. Center of nape attaches to knot of satin ribbon with tucks. Brim edge trimmed with white piping.
