Cotton: 2 singles in white; mercerized cotton: 2 two-ply in purple and black; 6 two-ply in purple black and green. These colors are associated with luto (mourning). The squared neckline is trimmed with black commercial velveteen as are the armholes; entire huipil has support weft brocading, predominately purple and black with accents of green. Iconography consists of worms, mosquitoes, eyes, roses and large zigzags.
