Hearst Museum object titled Tapa cloth, accession number 11-39713, described as Bark cloth (male loin cloth or koefi) from the Maisin culture in Collingwood Bay, Oro Province, Papua New Guinea. Six panels, painted rust and blue-black; geometric designs in rectangles repeated six times; length: 3.6 m; width: 62 cm. Has no religious significance but traditionally served as clothing and as gifts in exchange. Now also a source of income for Maisin people.
