Materials, techniques: Camel leather from freshly slaughtered animal skin is put into hole in th ground until hair rots off, skin is cut around as one peels an orange. Softened with water. Six strips used to braid the rope. Context of use: Made by married women only. *Used to tie the house mats and long poles to camel during a move. Also used to tie thorn bushes which are dragged behind camel during the move and which will be used for a fence at the new gob. Used by women and girls only.
