Hearst Museum object titled Basket, accession number 1-71579, described as Diagonal twining. Made by a left-handed weaver, everything is in reverse of normal. Circular geometric bands in light brown alternating with bands of black on natural ground, matches design on 1-70724. Peeled willow, dyed bracken root.
Hearst Museum object titled Basket, accession number TB-64, described as Accompanying tag reads: "Basket. Round, flat base, sides incurving, design of stepped triangular elements alternating with vertical diamond elements, in brown on light brown ground";  paper tag with number 12 and 225 pasted on inside. H - 12.7cm. diam. at rim - 13.2cm. 7-19-1995 Basket was found on Washo shelf. L. Dawson states that basket might be Maidu; split stitches but not consistent, maybe split maple shoots.  Per Ralph Shanks: Globular bowl, contracting towards mouth.  Coiled 3 rod basket with redbud and bracken fern root designs.  Background peeled shoot, possibly maple.  Leftward warp direction.  5  interlocked vertical diamonds with center half filled.  Other design of 6-7 peaked mountain like figures, 5 vertical rows of 10 figures.  Weaver hair woven in. Could be 1-72892 based on dimensions but original number does not match.  Original numbering system is consistent with Shoemaker accession 485.
