Coat opens at the center front and is fasted with toggle buttons and cloth loops. Slits at the sides. Contrasting silk embroidered fabric forming bands at sleeve and hem edges. Garden scene on ivory ground. Bats and flowers on a yellow ground (sleeves only) and woven band with repetitive pattern. Bands might represent different historical periods since they were sometimes removed and placed on a new garment. 97cm length x 122cm wide at sleeves.

Gold wrapped thread couched to the surface with colored silk thread, forms design in front, sleeves and back. Mandarin style collar lined with light gren silk velour. Coat front is one piece overlapping and fastened to the right side with silk cloth toggle buttons and loops. Side slits. Lined with peach colored silk cloth in plain weave. 64cm x 113cm across sleeves.
