: Hearst Museum object titled Blade, accession number 9-16760, described as Dirk. Flanged grip cast in scallops to fit fingers; convex pommels, both of which held inlay, now lost. Blade has a square broad shoulder, tapering to a point without mid-rib; edges honed. The guard projects and is thickened. Green patina. Max.L. 35.5 cm; L.of handle 10.5 cm
