Materials are conifer root weft with bear grass overlay with peeled shoot warps. From the start there is 1 1/2 inches of 3 strand twining, followed by plain twining until 1/4 inch from the rim where we get a single row of 3 strand twining and then 2 weft rows of plain twining. The rim is trimmed with numerous warp sticks extending up to about 1/4 inch from the rim. The slant of weft twist is up and to the right with a rightward work direction. The surface is slightly undulating. The design has about 12 parrallel bands, is single sided with irregular bear grass appearing on the interior. Basket has an exterior workface.
