Hearst Museum object titled Katsina figure, accession number 2-72166, described as Kokopelli katsina (kachina); one of a pair of carved, painted and dressed figures. Seated, wears black case mask with straight, white, bill with white stripe running vertically from bill over top of head. Flat, rounded, protruding, red ears on each side, white, pot hook eyes, feather topknot, 2 black and white yarn "braids" on each side of head emerge from topknot. Black and white ruff at neck. Dressed in white shirt and pants, and Taos boots. Holds a rattle in one hand and a crook decorated with a feather in the other. Pronounced hump on back; pronounced genitals.
