Three dimensional head on end of handle, lanceolate blade with central raised ridge and red stripe. Attached leather thong below head. Rear surface flat. Label attached says, "Kwakiutl, slave-killing knife, handcrafted by Thorn Arts, Pylades Island, Canada".

Beaked nose, prominent nostrils, lips pursed for whistling/singing, eyes (black rimmed circular holes) under heavy black eyebrows. Equipped with 2 small eyebolts and wire. Back inscribed, "Chiefs Mask" "Jack James, Gilford Isle, B.C." Commercial paint.
