Hearst Museum object titled Basket, accession number 1-9581, described as Twined, covered with Xerophyllum and ornamented. Very grimy and worn from use. 2-faced overlay; white ground, two bands of black diagonal zigzags predominate. Mainly plain twined. 3-strand twining occurs: 4.5 cm radius from start; 2 rows at approximately 6 cm and 10 cm from start. Probably typical of the region where obtained.

Flat base, flaring sides.  Large star design with zigzag design around rim.  Dark brown on natural ground.  Rim broken in one area.
