The basket has a twined start. The warps are peeled shoot rods and splints, with the base in all splints. The weft material is peeled and unpeeled redbud designs at the upper 1/4 and the lower 3/4 design is an unknown unpeeled material and the background is an unknown peeled material. At the start of the basket is a band of half unpeeled redbud and half unknown unpeeled material. The main design is diagonal stepped spirals. There are no clear random rectangles. The weft fag ends are clipped or bound under. The weft moving ends are concealed. The rim is plain wrapped with a few rim ticks in peeled and unpeeled redbud directly under the rim coil ending. The rim coil ending is blunt with three back stitches and is cut off at the end. The wefts are split less than 10% on the exterior and on the interior 50-60% are split. The basket has an exterior workface, a rightward work direction, and down to the right slant of weft twist. Based on the materials and techniques the basket could be either Wailaki or Yuki.

Per Ralph Shanks: Coiled slightly flared shallow basket bowl, not used but with some debris and dirt on the interior. The basket start is unpeeled redbud, twined. The coil foundation is splints and rods of peeled shoots. The wefts are peeled redbud and unpeeled redbud weft designs. The main design three diagonal v shaped quail top not designs and two vertical alternating weft rows of peeled and unpeeled redbud. There are about two random rectangles. The rim is plain wrapped, with rim ticks. The rim coil ending is slightly tapered, cut, and has eight diagonal backstitches. The weft fag ends are clipped or bound under. The weft moving ends are concealed. The weft stiches on the exterior are less than 5% split. The weft interior stitches are 35-40% split. The basket has an exterior workface, a rightward work direction, and a down to the right slant of weft twist. There are two human hairs at the side exterior of the basket. The design at the base of the basket has two bands with breaks in the same area. This is followed by four equally spaced filler design elements. On the sides of the basket are two sets of three alternating bands of unpeeled and peeled redbud, with breaks that line up with each other. There are random rectangles. The weft fag ends and weft moving ends are concealed. The rim is plain wrapped. The rim coil ending is blunt with no back stitches and is possibly cut off at the end. The wefts are split less than 10% on the exterior and on the interior 30-35% are split. The basket has an exterior workface, a rightward work direction, and down to the right slant of weft twist.

Designs are in three horizontal bands with the largest of the designs in the shape of slanted parallelograms. Up to the right slant of weft twist. Achumawi, Atsugewi, or Yana attribution.

There is a single band of unpeeled redbud below the rim. There are a few random rectangles on the exterior and interior. The weft fag ends are concealed or bound under. The weft moving ends are concealed. The rim is plain wrapped with a missing rim coil ending, in some areas the coil foundation is missing, but the wefts are still present.
