Hearst Museum object titled Treasure basket, accession number 1-225220, described as Coiled. Globular shape. Coverall design of brown and black checks; black checks in two rows around the middle girth; brown spot on center of base. Rim worn away, but probably had only one more coil (stubs of stitches show blocks of alternating dark and light stitches characteristic of Chumash rims). Grass bundle foundation (lower portion), three Juncus rush foundation (upper), sumac white and Juncus brown and black sewing materials.
