Hearst Museum object titled Jar, accession number 9-12315, described as water jar, ceramic.  large bulging jar w/ wide mouth, short concave neck and a rather narrow foot.  slightly flared rim.  interior has a lightlcoated [sic] band of glaze near top.  exterior has bolk, stylized design of pine trees in copper greens and light & dark brown.  dark brown slip or glaze at base.  rim very worn.  many small bloats, chips in side.  UCDA cat. includes not:  "Extremely valuable".  H. 32 cm.  rim Dia. 29 cm.
Hearst Museum object titled Sake bottle, accession number 9-12284, described as sake bottle, ceramic.  lower half cylindrical with smooth surface (scraped), upper half tapers to narrow, flared mouth, and has slight, decorative ridges modeled with tool.  brownish celadon glaze with runny flambe green & blue glaze at top.  interior of mouth glazed but not interior of body.  no foot.  dia. (base) 7 cm. h. 20 cm.
