Hearst Museum object titled Basket, accession number 5-17041, described as Round basket with wide wooden (bamboo) rim and bamboo stabilizing bands (2 inside, 1 outside) overlapping and/or below the rim.  Basket is a herringbone weave.  4.5" rim is attached to the basket with woven raffia segments 3.0-4.5cm wide, separated by blank spaces 2.0 to 3.5 cm wide.  Where the rim overlaps a woven, saw tooth band 9.3cm long joins the ends.  1972

Where the rim overlaps a woven, saw tooth band 11.5cm long joins the ends.  1972.
Hearst Museum object titled Pipe, accession number 5-17031, described as Man's pipe with bamboo stem and ceramic bowl, modeled in the shape of a man's head. Stem is rough cut and tapered at the end attached to the bowl.  Ceramic bowl is attached by a hollow tube (partially broken) and is of a terracotta clay filed to very dark brown.  Native name = mfuko.  1972.  Africa, Ambia, Gwembe, Tonga, Chipepo Chieftan.
