Hearst Museum object titled Cradle, accession number 1-164484, described as Twined basketry.  Tag "Klamath R. Tribes Att.". Per Ralph Shanks:  Twined openwork baby basket.  The warp material is probably willow, possibly hazel.  The wefts are of uncertain material.  At the foot there is plain twining, spaced closer than the rest of the basket.  The rim is covered,  reinforced with rods.  Starting at the foot there are sets of three paired weft rows all the way to the handle.  The basket has alternating slants of weft twists, often switching by weft row.  The basket is from Northwestern California.
