Hearst Museum object titled Costume, accession number 3-30023, described as Costume, caiman; painter's coverall with Pochote tree spines painted red; costume painted mottled green and yellow; length ca 120 cm. This is probably a representation of a pre-Columbian figure. It was used in a dance to insure good fishing" per Cordry, pl 199. Per Margot Schevill this information may be suspect. This outfit accompanies 3-30024 a caiman mask.

Probably made for sale, not a dance mask.
