Hearst Museum object titled Broken goblet, accession number 8-1548, described as Small goblet, tall foot. Description from Matteucig (1951): Goblet; height: 9.7 cm; diameter: 12.2 cm (see Matteucig's plate IV, 11). Gray impasto. Clay dark gray with numerous black particles; slightly polished surface varying from dark gray to dark brown. Hemispherical bowl with wide edge below lip; high ribbed stem. Suspension holes on edge. Red impasto. Clay reddish; red unpolished surface; black and whitish shiny particles. The vase was perhaps covered with a cream dressing (impasto type D) which has almost completely disappeared, leaving but a few traces which can hardly be distinguished from yellowish mud that covers the surface. Shallow, godrooned, umbilicated bowl; narrow projecting lip with suspension holes. Lip slightly chipped in four places. Cf. Not. Sc., 1887, Pl. Brown impasto. Clay light red with whitish particles; dull surface varying from light to dark brown. High reëntering neck with slightly flaring lip; shallow body with rounded sides contracting to a flat base. Two perforations (suspension holes?) on neck; shoulder decorated with a series of punched holes filled with lead of which only some dioxide particles remain. Small part of neck and lip restored.
