Hearst Museum object titled Bowl basket, accession number 1-61768, described as Open work, twined, shallow bowl.  Tag "Klamath R. Tribes Att.". Per Ralph Shanks:  Twined openwork basket. The basket has a crossed warp starting knot.  The warp material is probably hazel. The weft is probably conifer root.   The basket is plain twined over two warps, with the rows spaced approximately 1/2 inch apart. The rim is trimmed, and mostly missing due to breakage.  The basket has an up to the right slant of weft twist and a rightward work direction.  The workface is on the exterior.  The basket is from Northwestern California.
